A Tiny Taste of Temple
Roll up your sleeves and roll out some rugelach at 10:30 AM on Sunday, January 24! Chef and restauranteur Sonya Sanford leads a cooking class for the whole family, whether you're Zooming in as part of our Religious School programming or sharing a family morning with us. Chef Sanford suggests you prep the dough in advance, so register for this free event to access the recipe and link! Taste of Temple: B'tey'avon
B'tey'avon means "bon appétit," so Zoom in, nosh, and mingle with your fellow congregants at 6:00 PM on Sunday, January 31. Purchase and pick up a $75 tasting box for two, curated by Jacob and Sons, that includes treats from Taste of Temple recurring favorites Kachka, Roons, Fire on the Mountain, Garbanzo, and more! As we celebrate and support CBI, renowned Portland chefs will share their expertise! Boxes will be available for pick-up on Saturday 1/30 noon - 4:00 PM and Sunday 1/31 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM at CBI!
Curated food boxes for Taste of Temple B'tey'avon have sold out! However, that doesn't mean you can't join in the fun of Taste of Temple! We will maintain a waitlist for those who are interested. To get on the waitlist, simply "purchase" (at no charge) a Taste of Temple Waitlist Ticket. We will let those on the waitlist know as boxes become available in the order they registered.
Even if you are unable to purchase one of our limited boxes, you are welcome to participate-at no charge-in the Taste of Temple: B'tey'avon Zoom. Register by "purchasing" (at no charge) an Event Link Registration ticket to make sure you get the link to join the annual fun.
What's on the menu?
Our delicious boxes are all vegetarian with a little of something for everyone (including vegan and gluten-free items). We will feature Kachka Horeseraddish Vodka * Chocolate dipped Roons * Fire on the Mountain sauce * A bottle of Yarden cabernet sauignon wine * Jerk mushrooms conserva * Pickled fennel & pineapple * Chickpea bruschetta * Satsuma candied Italian chestnuts * Salted & sweet lemon curd mascarpone * Everything spice focaccia * Strawberry Hugo Cocktail kit made up of elderflower-strawberry simple syrup, a sprig of fresh basil, seltzer to be mixed with Prosecco, gin, or both * and even more delicious surprises!
